Triple Casement Windows
A triple casement is three sashes in a single frame — two operating sashes on the outside with a fixed center sash that acts as a picture window. The left sash swings left, the right sash swings right, and the center stays put, giving you the ventilation of a pair casement with the unobstructed view of a picture window. Triple casements are ideal for wide walls in living rooms, great rooms, and spaces where you want both airflow and a broad outlook.
Operating Options
- Crank-out — rotary handles open the outer sashes outward; mechanisms concealed when closed
- Push-out — butt hinges with manual pull handles; push the sash open with no crank
- In-swing — interior hinges so sashes swing inward; useful where exterior clearance is limited
Locking Mechanism & Hardware
Crank-out casements can be locked in many different ways, including multipoint locking systems that secure each sash at multiple points along the frame. Push-out and in-swing configurations provide different options for hardware — from simple lever locks to surface-mounted bolts and shoot bolts — depending on the swing direction and sash size. Each operating type also offers different screen options: crank-out windows typically use exterior roll-out screens, while push-out and in-swing windows can accept interior or exterior screens depending on the swing direction.
Wood Species & Construction
Built from solid lumber in your specified species — Douglas fir, clear pine, mahogany, white oak, and others. Mortise and tenon joinery throughout. Each sash is sized to your opening.
Glass & Divided Lites
Insulated glass with Low-E for Title 24, or single-pane for historic work. True divided lite (TDL) or simulated divided lite (SDL) in any muntin pattern. The fixed center sash can have a different lite configuration from the operating sashes for a custom look.
Matching Existing Windows
For additions and restorations, we can replicate existing triple casement profiles, hinge configuration, and muntin patterns — even if the original manufacturer is no longer in business.
